Population Article Analysis Criteria

Here is the criteria for the Article Analysis due on Wednesday.  We will discuss them in class, and you will also have a question on your quiz on Friday about a current event relating to demography.  You will have to be able to summarize your article. 

CRITERIA:

• 5-7 Key points from article - -either highlighted, or written out if you don't bring in the article
• Clear thesis statement from article
• Your opinion on the thesis statement
• Explanation of how the article connects to content in the course relating to population patterns, trends and current issues. 
• POSSIBLE TOPICS: 
• One-Child Policy
• Gendercide
• Population Control and Projections
• Forced Sterilization, Infanticide in India/China
• Issues relating to education/rights of women to deal with population control
• Population + Resource Availability
