WWI Unit Test Outline

Today's class was spent discussing the "homefront" in Canada, as well as the Conscription Crisis. Key things that were discussed include:

• Propaganda - to force men to enlist, to attract women workers, etc.
• "Enemy Aliens" - treatment of German/Austro-Hungarian immigrants in Canada
• Conscription Crisis - divisions between French and English, including actions of Henri Bourassa and Robert Borden's election campaign
• Role of Women - increased power and resultant voting rights
