Cold War & the Red Scare

Where did the phrase "duck and cover" come from? What about "better dead than red"? Today's class focused on the origins of the Cold War and the red scare at home in North America, as well as a basic overview of the dominant political philosophies during the Cold War - containment & domino thoery, as well as the military alliances. We also discussed the role of propaganda in pop culture, and I thought I would draw your attention to the image in this post. As a great lover of the unicorn species, I was pleased to see that it is possible to buy your own set of Cold War unicorns. Please send me any other links of cool Cold War products.
