WWI Movies and Visuals

Watching movies is more fun than reading textbooks...
These visuals and movie titles might be a helpful way to study.
  1. BBC (geeky) history movies with interviews with soldiers, etc. - quite good!
  2. Gallipoli (1981)- Two Australian sprinters including a (cute!) Mel Gibson volunteer to fight in Turkey on the Eastern Front
  3. Behind the Lines (1998) - A look at shell-shock amongst soldiers as a result of WWI. It's supposed to be an excellent psychological study.
  4. All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) - A very slow, black-and white movie that examines WWI from a German perspective. This is one of the classic 'war movies' of the 20th century, and the story is excellent.
