Trudeaumania!
The last two classes we have focused on Canadian society in the 1960s & 1970s, including 'Trudeaumania' and the rise of French nationalism in Canada.

- Review of 1950s society practice questions
- Notes on Pierre Trudeau
- And then we watched the first 30 minutes of CBC's program "The Greatest Canadian: Trudeau" and completed the following questions
Homework for Thursday was to complete the previous day's worksheet on Pierre Trudeau's 'Just Society' idea and the 3 major protest movements from the 1960s.
Today's class was a follow up to last day. We did the following:
- Got our essays back from the last test and reviewed some tips on essay writing.
- Reviewed the answers to the movie questions as well as "Quotamania" - Pierre Trudeau
- Did a brief intro to Regionalism (province quote questions)
- And then did some small group discussion and debate on French Canadian identity and status as a 'distinct society'.
- We also examined different images from the 1960s protest movements and talked about 1968 as a watershed year.
