Road to War (Again!) - Canada & Conflict: Case Study #2 - WWII
The last two classes have focused on the road to war (again), as global powers tried to deal with the rise of totalitarian dictatorships in the inter-war period.
So far we have done the following:
1. Simulated the Paris Peace Conference in order to understand how these policies and decisions played a role in the rise of dictatorship in Germany, and the propaganda used by Hitler to justify making the Allies his enemies
2. Discussed the first 3 causes of WWII, using the powerpoint and discussion questions from last day.
Here is the powerpoint -- we watched the first half on Monday
Here are the notes that accompany the powerpoint - we completed the first page
We also watched parts of the video Life Under Hitler to help us understand life under a totalitarian dictator.
HOMEWORK: Write an introductory paragraph using the suggestions that Ms. Sawatsky gave you -- choose on the of the questions to respond to.
