Cold War: Tension and Conflict

Hi there everyone.  I hope you all had a great spring break.  Today's assignment is going to fairly straightforward, but you will need access to the blog to complete it.  Keep in mind that Chapter 6 is an overview of the Cold War conflicts.  You are not expected to know everything in detail, but you are expected to go through the readings and read them carefully.

There are 3 activities that you need to complete in the next two classes.   YOU WILL HAVE TWO CLASSES IN THE COMPUTER LAB TO FINISH ALL THREE "STEPS".  Once you are finished, you can relax, study and complete other homework.  Follow the instructions on this blog post and hand in the required activities to Ms. Barsky/Ms. Bacon/the TOC.  See you on Thursday/Friday!

STEP ONE: FINISH POWERPOINT NOTES

Intro to the Cold War Powerpoint:
Download the powerpoint that we began viewing prior to Spring Break, and fill in the answers to the NOTES HANDOUT that you should already have in your binder.   You do not need to hand this in once you are done

STEP TWO: CONFLICTS GRAPH
Please download the Conflicts graph assignment here.  You must either print out this graph, or open it in word, and use Microsoft word to fill in the blanks.   Please be sure to add as much as detail as possible - this assignment will be marked out of 16 for detail, content and accuracy.   Once you are finished, please hand in to the teacher by Wednesday/Thursday of this week.  If you do not feel you can finish it by the end of Wednesday/Thursday's class, then please work on it for homework.

STEP THREE: CANADA'S INTERNATIONAL ROLE
Please download the handout Canada's International Role here.  You are required to finish this by Friday's class, where it will be checked.  USE ALL OF CHAPTER 6 to answer the questions - you can skim through the chapter to find the right answers.  Most of the terms are major vocab for the chapter.
